Terms of service

USAVPC is a private, independent U.S. and Schengen visa-preparation advisor delivered as a webapp PWA, with a Schengen dossier and DS-160 workspace. We are not a government agency, embassy, consulate, visa application center, or law firm, and use of the service does not create an attorney-client relationship.

The service can check published route requirements, organize an itinerary, calculate the general moving 90/180 rule from dates you enter, prepare a numbered Annex I review copy, organize evidence and tasks, display sourced aggregate statistics, provide separate U.S. and Schengen interview practice, identify missing or inconsistent entries, and create a versioned DS-160 preparation copy. Authenticated interview practice, the private Schengen dossier, and DS-160 preparation require a current passport biography-page photograph and completed OCR. Capture is available before payment, and the current confirmed passport version can be reused across compatible U.S., Schengen, and practice functions. A completed passport version can remain as an immutable snapshot attached to an application even after the user accepts a newer current version. The documentary Schengen dossier can accept supporting files; optional supporting-document uploads for a U.S. case and human fidelity review remain within the paid Full scope. If you expressly authorize it, staff may use a private browser extension to transcribe accepted fields into CEAC. The service does not issue visas, reserve appointments, provide a complete or live copy of CEAC, lodge, sign or submit applications, make official eligibility decisions, or influence an authority.

You are responsible for every fact, photograph, and document you provide and for reviewing the final answers for truthfulness and completeness. Tesseract.js first reads the passport image in your browser and USAVPC's own Netlify function then independently reads the MRZ from the same private, integrity-checked image. OCR may misread visual fields and does not authenticate the passport, detect alteration or fraud, or replace examination of the original. A file-validation result, documentary status, system check, coverage percentage, or staff review likewise does not authenticate evidence, predict approval, or guarantee that an authority will accept it. You must review extracted values, retake an unreadable image, and enter facts that cannot be confirmed. A Schengen destination, 90/180 calculation, checklist, or form-preparation copy is a planning aid and must be confirmed against the competent consulate's current instructions and official form. Human review or the optional local DS-160 formatting check may contain mistakes and never replace your judgment or qualified legal advice.

The Schengen review PDF is not the official Annex I form and is not lodged, signed, or transmitted to a consulate by USAVPC. Department of State guidance allows third-party assistance but requires that assistance to be identified where applicable and generally requires the applicant to review, electronically sign, and submit the DS-160 personally. USAVPC does not request your CEAC or appointment-portal password. Staff-assisted transcription is optional and revocable; it never authorizes USAVPC to answer a CAPTCHA, retain credentials, navigate automatically, sign, or submit for you. Schengen document access by staff is separately off by default, requires your express opt-in, can be revoked, and leaves auditable authorization, revocation, access, and review records.

Provide an accurate email identifier, protect your password and one-time recovery codes, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Registration and recovery do not send email, so you are responsible for saving the readable codes shown once and replacing them if exposed. Do not use the service to submit false information, impersonate another person, upload malware, access another user's data, disrupt the service, or violate law.

You must be an adult able to enter a contract. A lawful guardian is responsible when official rules permit assistance for a minor or incapable applicant.

The free orientation consultation and public readiness score provide general preparation guidance, not legal advice, eligibility, or approval. Historical refusal or issuance statistics are aggregate context and not a personal probability. With your consent, an external conversational writing service may phrase a consultation response, but USAVPC data and rules determine the route, cautions, price, and official sources.

Interview practice uses eight USAVPC-controlled possible counter-style questions grounded in published consular criteria and no more than two rule-selected follow-ups reserved for material case facts, route boundaries, or objective conflicts. Passive evidence gaps remain in the final review instead of consuming those follow-up slots. After express consent and sensitive-data screening, an external conversational writing service may phrase a bounded note from an answer and closed checks; it does not choose questions, alter the primary review, detect truth, or decide a case. Question audio is prepared only from public question text. The microphone is not enabled and answers are not recorded as audio. No authority publishes one universal script, and a Schengen interview is not required in every case.

The optional DS-160 formatting check runs through USAVPC code and only normalizes spacing and line breaks; it does not translate, rewrite, or add facts. The proposed value remains separate from the original until you expressly choose what to accept. No DS-160 answer or passport image is sent to the external conversational service. Passport OCR uses bundled Tesseract.js in the browser and USAVPC's own Netlify function rather than an external OCR provider.

Prices shown at checkout are USAVPC private-service fees and are separate from all government, MRV, SEVIS, delivery, and appointment fees. Stripe processes payment. Taxes, if applicable, are shown or handled as required.

The free orientation consultation, route information, official links, and passport capture/OCR do not activate a paid service. Interview simulations, guided study/work or Schengen workspaces, documentary review, and DS-160 preparation require the specific entitlement and access period displayed before checkout. Access starts only after a verified payment event. Route-specific file collection and guided staff review are included only in the paid product whose checkout displays them. The passport requirement does not add a separate OCR-provider fee. Duplicate charges, service failures, cancellations, and other refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy.

Visa decisions and processing times belong solely to the competent U.S. or Schengen authorities. We do not guarantee visa issuance, interview availability, acceptance of a document, error-free government systems, or a particular processing time. A denial or delay alone does not mean the private preparation service was defective.

You retain ownership of the facts and files you submit. You give us limited permission to store private passport versions and supporting files in Supabase, validate and retain structured passport-version, guided-case, and Schengen evidence records, link files to requirements, preserve versioned review snapshots, reuse confirmed compatible fields, and preserve an exact passport snapshot for each linked application. Staff may review Schengen or guided study/work case files only while the corresponding separate access grant is active. When you expressly opt in, you may also permit staff-assisted transcription of accepted DS-160 fields. Relevant authorization, revocation, administrative, document, review, and transfer actions may be recorded in the security audit ledger. These permissions are limited to providing, securing, and supporting the service as described in the Privacy Policy and end when data is deleted or optional authorization is revoked, except for a short-lived session already claimed, lawful backups, audit/security records, and records we must retain.

USAVPC owns its software, design, and original materials. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service and your generated review materials for your own application.

We work to keep the service available but maintenance, security incidents, internet failures, browser limitations, and third-party outages can interrupt it. Supabase, Stripe, Netlify, the external conversational processor, and government systems operate under their own terms. If conversational processing is unavailable, USAVPC-controlled consultation guidance and the primary simulator review remain available without the optional note; prepared question audio remains a static app asset. DS-160 spacing review uses USAVPC code, and Tesseract.js is bundled with the service for the browser and USAVPC's own Netlify function. We will take reasonable steps to restore our service and communicate material incidents.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, comply with law, or address a material breach. We will give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue when practical. Refund eligibility is determined by the Refund Policy and applicable consumer law, not automatic forfeiture.

To the extent permitted by law, USAVPC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for a government decision outside our control. Our aggregate liability for a paid service is limited to the amount paid for that service, except where law does not allow that limitation or where loss results from conduct that cannot legally be limited.

Nothing in these terms waives non-waivable consumer, privacy, complaint, or legal rights. These terms should be reviewed by qualified counsel for the operator's jurisdiction before commercial launch.
